Carlos Ulberg Outpoints Jan Blachowicz by Unanimous Decision at UFC London

Carlos Ulberg continued his rise in the light heavyweight division with a unanimous decision win over former champion Jan Blachowicz in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 255 in London. The judges scored it 29-28 across the board, marking Ulberg’s eighth straight victory since February 2022.

Blachowicz, returning after a long layoff, started strong with his signature counter strikes and heavy leg kicks, keeping Ulberg at bay early. The first two rounds saw both fighters cautious and measured, with neither taking major risks. The commentary team urged more urgency as the fight unfolded, but most exchanges were brief—flashes of action in an otherwise tactical bout.

Heading into the third round, it was still anyone’s fight. Both men relied on jabs, leg kicks, and the occasional combination, but Ulberg’s consistency and forward pressure edged him ahead.

When the final horn sounded, the decision went to the judges, who unanimously awarded the victory to Ulberg.

“I’ve got the longest win streak in the division, so the only thing left for me is a title shot,” Ulberg told Michael Bisping in his post-fight interview. “That’s all that matters.”

For Blachowicz, the loss deepens a tough stretch. Now riding a three-fight skid—the first of his career—the 42-year-old hasn’t secured a win since May 2022. With questions swirling about his future, fans are left wondering if this marks the beginning of the end for the Polish powerhouse.

Ulberg, on the other hand, has firmly positioned himself in title contention. His methodical victory in London adds weight to his claim for a shot at light heavyweight gold.
