Tua Tagovailoa Lands on NFL’s Top 100 Again – But Can He Silence the Doubters in 2025?

2024 stats: 11 games | 72.9 pct | 2,867 pass yds | 7.2 ypa | 19 pass TD | 7 INT | 49 rush yds | 7 fumbles

Tua Tagovailoa cracked the NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2025 list, though his ranking reflects a season of highs and lows.

In 2024, Tagovailoa was efficient and accurate, completing 72.9% of his passes for 2,867 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions over 11 games. Miami’s offense averaged 24.1 points per game with him under center but dropped to 13.3 in the six games he missed.

The Dolphins’ offense shifted to a shorter passing game to reduce risk, as evidenced by Tua’s career-low 6.1 average depth of target. Even so, his quick release — fastest in the NFL at 2.42 seconds — kept pressure to a league-low 22.1% of dropbacks.

The question for 2025 remains the same: Can Tagovailoa stay healthy and lead Miami to the next level in a loaded AFC?
