LAS VEGAS — It was supposed to be the night the kid got a hard lesson from a crafty vet. Instead, Nolan (12-1) took Moicano’s best grappling, survived it, and turned the fight into a finish. The Halloween card also saw Jacobe Smith stay perfect in the co-main, a doctor-stoppage thriller open the main card, and Julian Erosa knock someone out in the final fight of his career.
Moicano vs Nolan Main Card Results
Main Event (Lightweight): Renato Moicano vs Tom Nolan
Result: Tom Nolan def. Renato Moicano by TKO (punches and elbows) — Round 3, 1:28
The kid arrived.
Australia’s Nolan scored the biggest win of his career with a third-round stoppage of one of the division’s toughest outs. Moicano had his moments on the mat — he climbed onto Nolan’s back and locked up a body triangle looking for the finish — but couldn’t close the deal, and once the fight returned to the feet, Nolan took over. He put Moicano away with punches and elbows just 88 seconds into the third. Six straight for the 26-year-old, and he did it on the sport’s main stage.
Co-Main Event (Welterweight): Randy Brown vs Jacobe Smith
Result: Jacobe Smith def. Randy Brown by unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26)
Still undefeated. Still saying yes.
The undefeated welterweight prospect took full advantage of his short-notice opportunity, out-working the veteran Brown across three rounds for a lopsided decision. After a cagey start to the final frame, Smith timed his moment, charged in, picked Brown up and dumped him on the mat — an exclamation point on a clean 30-26 sweep. Second fight in four weeks, and he’s now 14-0.
Flyweight: Ode’ Osbourne vs Cody Durden
Result: Cody Durden def. Ode’ Osbourne by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Wrestling wins rounds.
Veteran flyweights went head to head in a well-matched scrap at 125 pounds, and Durden’s grappling was the difference. Osbourne opened the second round landing strikes, but Durden kept dragging the fight back to the canvas and controlling from top position, and all three judges rewarded the grind.
Women’s Bantamweight: Yana Santos vs Luana Santos
Result: Luana Santos def. Yana Santos by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Same name. One winner.
In the battle of bantamweight namesakes, Luana did just enough to edge out Yana on the scorecards. Luana took Yana’s back hunting a rear-naked choke; Yana defended and fought back, but Luana had already banked the position and the control to take all three cards.
Welterweight: Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani vs Farman Hasanov
Result: Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani def. Farman Hasanov by TKO (doctor stoppage) — Round 3, 2:11
The body breaks the undefeated.
The main-card opener delivered a thriller as Lebosnoyani out-battled the previously undefeated Hasanov. He kept stabbing at Hasanov’s body with the front kick, and as the fight wore on the accumulation showed — the damage was enough to bring the doctor in during the third, and the bout was waved off. First loss of Hasanov’s career; a statement win for Lebosnoyani in front of the home-state crowd.
Moicano vs Nolan Prelim Results
Featured Prelim (Catchweight, 148): Francis Marshall vs Dakota Hope
Result: Dakota Hope def. Francis Marshall by split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)
Back from the brink in Vegas.
Hope dropped his Octagon debut by split decision at this same building back in April — and returned to UFC HQ to flip the result, taking a razor-thin split nod of his own this time. He kept the pressure on and landed the bigger shots down the stretch, eating a Marshall head kick along the way but doing enough to sway two of the three judges. Marshall, who missed weight by two pounds and forfeited 20 percent of his purse, leaves with the loss.
Welterweight: Rodrigo Sezinando vs Theodor Berggren
Result: Rodrigo Sezinando def. Theodor Berggren by TKO (doctor stoppage) — Round 2, 5:00
First one in the UFC. Finally.
The Ultimate Fighter Season 33 finalist captured his first Octagon victory the hard way, via a doctor stoppage between rounds. The second frame was all Sezinando — he dragged Berggren into deep water, took the Swede down and dominated the position, and by the time the round closed the damage was enough for the doctor to wave it off.
Featherweight: Julian Erosa vs JeongYeong Lee
Result: Julian Erosa def. JeongYeong Lee by knockout (punches) — Round 1, 1:31
Last walk. Best ending.
In the final fight of his professional MMA career, the Octagon veteran got dropped early, battled back, then stunned the building. With the pair standing in the center of the cage, “Juicy J” set his sights and unloaded, dropping Lee and pouring on a couple of heavy follow-up shots to seal a stunning come-from-behind knockout. A storybook way to walk away — and a Performance of the Night bonus to go with it.
Middleweight: Zachary Reese vs Mickey Gall
Result: Zachary Reese def. Mickey Gall by unanimous decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-27)
Skid snapped.
Reese bounced back into the win column, ending a two-fight slide with a hard-earned decision over the former CM Punk opponent. His heavier shots gradually wore Gall down across the fight — a flying-knee, front-kick combination among the highlights — and all three judges saw it the same way.
Middleweight: Nick Klein vs Joe Kropschot
Result: Joe Kropschot def. Nick Klein by submission (inverted triangle armbar) — Round 3, 1:25
Patience, then the trap.
Fresh off his contract-winning performance on Season 10 of Dana White’s Contender Series, Kropschot stayed calm under heavy top pressure from Klein before turning defense into a finish. With Klein working to pass, Kropschot locked up an inverted triangle armbar in the third and forced the tap — good for a Performance of the Night bonus.
Strawweight: Talita Alencar vs Piera Rodriguez
Result: Piera Rodriguez def. Talita Alencar by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
The lights went out, her hand went up.
Venezuela’s Rodriguez overcame her opponent — and a brief power outage inside Meta APEX — to sweep the scorecards and make it four straight wins in the Octagon. When the arena lights started to flicker back on, Alencar pressed forward looking for the finish, but Rodriguez had already banked the rounds she needed.
Women’s Bantamweight: Lucia Szabová vs Tainara Lisboa
Result: Lucia Szabová def. Tainara Lisboa by TKO (ground strikes) — Round 3, 3:20
Debut night. Statement made.
Szabová announced herself on the world stage, stopping Brazil’s Lisboa on the mat late in the third in her UFC debut. It nearly slipped away first — Lisboa briefly took her back and threatened a choke in the closing seconds of the round before Szabová reversed the position and poured on the ground strikes to force the stoppage — and earned a Performance of the Night bonus for the finish.
